Building Negotiation Power

Negotiations take place every day in the workplace, in families and in the community. The art of negotiation is based on attempting to reconcile what constitutes a good result for you with what constitutes a good result for the other party. To do this, negotiators must be prepared, alert and versatile. This session examines the core skills required for successful negotiation, and teaches participants how to handle each stage of the negotiation process.

Mastering Conflict Resolution

Conflict is a normal, and even healthy, part of relationships, but when mismanaged, it can harm relationships. When conflict is handled in a respectful and positive way, it provides an opportunity for growth, ultimately strengthening interpersonal relationships. This learning event provides several techniques for successful conflict resolution, and teaches participants how to gain the most satisfaction for all parties involved in the conflict. Also, participants gain insight into their preferred conflict management style and learn how to use each style effectively.
